Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this website with a revised “Last updated” date.
Changes apply from the date they are published and do not automatically change the terms of orders that were already confirmed before the update, unless required by law.
Use of the website
You agree not to:
- use the website for unlawful purposes;
- interfere with the website’s security, operation, or functionality;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system, account, or data;
- submit false, misleading, or inaccurate information;
- copy, scrape, reproduce, or misuse website content without permission;
- use the website in a way that may damage TechWave247, other users, or third-party service providers.
We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access to the website or customer accounts where we reasonably suspect fraud, abuse, misuse, unlawful activity, security risks, or breach of these Terms.
Products and product information
We sell technology, electronics, accessories, and related products.
We try to ensure that product descriptions, specifications, pricing, images, availability, and delivery information are accurate. However, errors may occur.
Product images are for illustration purposes only. Actual products, packaging, colour, included accessories, branding, or minor design details may differ from the images displayed, provided that the product remains materially consistent with the description.
You are responsible for checking product specifications, compatibility, size, model numbers, connection types, warranty terms, and suitability before placing an order.
Stock availability
All products are subject to availability.
Stock levels may change without notice, especially where stock is held by suppliers, distributors, warehouses, or fulfilment partners.
We may cancel or refund an order if:
- the product is out of stock;
- supplier stock is no longer available;
- the product has been discontinued;
- there is a pricing or listing error;
- there is a suspected fraudulent transaction;
- payment fails or is reversed;
- delivery to the supplied address is not possible.
If we cancel an order after payment has been received, we will refund the amount paid through the original payment method where reasonably possible, unless another lawful arrangement is agreed.
Pricing
All prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR).
Unless stated otherwise, prices include VAT.
Prices may change without notice. The price charged for an order will be the price displayed at checkout when the order is placed, unless there is an obvious or material error.
We reserve the right to correct pricing errors. If a product was listed at an incorrect price, we may cancel the affected order and refund any payment received.
Delivery fees, courier charges, and other applicable charges will be displayed during checkout where applicable.
Payment
Orders are processed only once payment has been successfully received and verified.
Available payment methods may include online card payments, EFT, instant EFT, payment gateway options, or other methods displayed at checkout.
Payment information is processed by third-party payment providers. We do not store full card numbers or full payment-card authentication details on our website.
You must not use a payment method unless you are authorised to do so.
Order acceptance
After you place an order, you may receive an order confirmation or payment confirmation. This confirms that we have received your order request or payment, but it does not mean that the order has been finally accepted in all cases.
An order may still be cancelled where there is a stock issue, supplier issue, pricing error, payment issue, suspected fraud, delivery restriction, or other legitimate reason.
A sale is treated as confirmed once we have accepted the order and started processing it for fulfilment, dispatch, or delivery.
Customer information
You are responsible for ensuring that all information you provide is accurate, complete, and up to date.
This includes:
- full name;
- email address;
- phone number;
- WhatsApp number, where used;
- billing details;
- delivery address;
- company details, where applicable;
- VAT or tax details, where applicable.
TechWave247 is not responsible for failed delivery, delays, additional courier costs, or losses caused by incorrect or incomplete customer information.
Delivery and fulfilment
Delivery options, courier charges, and estimated delivery timeframes may be calculated through BobGo, courier partners, suppliers, fulfilment providers, or other integrated delivery systems.
Delivery times shown at checkout are estimates only. Actual delivery may be affected by:
- supplier processing times;
- courier availability;
- delivery location;
- stock availability;
- payment verification;
- public holidays;
- weather conditions;
- strikes or service disruptions;
- incorrect delivery information;
- events outside our reasonable control.
We will make reasonable efforts to process and dispatch orders promptly, but we do not guarantee delivery on a specific date unless expressly agreed in writing.
Back-ordered and supplier-sourced items
Some products may be back-ordered, supplier-sourced, or subject to supplier availability.
Back-ordered items may take approximately 7 to 21 business days to be delivered, depending on supplier stock, import status, warehouse processing, and logistics.
If a back-ordered item becomes unavailable or is materially delayed, we may contact you to offer a refund, replacement product, alternative arrangement, or updated delivery estimate.
Delivery risk
Risk of loss or damage passes to the customer once the order has been successfully delivered to the delivery address provided by the customer, or collected by the customer or an authorised representative.
If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, you should report it to us as soon as possible and provide photos of the packaging and product.
Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under applicable consumer protection law.
Failed delivery
If delivery fails because the customer supplied incorrect information, was unavailable, refused delivery without lawful reason, or failed to collect the parcel where collection was required, additional courier, storage, return, or re-delivery charges may apply.
Returns and refunds
Returns and refunds are governed by these Terms, our Refund & Returns Policy, and applicable South African law.
Change-of-mind / cooling-off returns for online purchases
Where the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act applies, you may cancel an eligible online purchase without reason and without penalty within 7 days after receiving the goods.
The product must be returned to us. The direct cost of returning the goods may be for your account, unless otherwise required by law or agreed by us.
Returned goods should be unused, complete, and in their original condition, with all accessories, manuals, cables, components, and packaging where reasonably possible.
If a lawful cooling-off cancellation is accepted, we will process the refund in accordance with applicable law.
Defective, unsafe, or incorrect goods
If goods are defective, unsafe, materially different from the description, or incorrectly supplied, you must notify us as soon as reasonably possible.
Under the Consumer Protection Act, defective goods may carry a six-month implied warranty, subject to applicable legal requirements.
Where the law applies, the customer may be entitled to repair, replacement, or refund.
We may require inspection, testing, supplier assessment, manufacturer assessment, or return of the product before finalising the remedy.
Damaged deliveries
Damaged, defective, or incorrect items should be reported within 48 hours of delivery where possible.
Failure to report within 48 hours may make courier claims and investigation more difficult, but this does not remove any rights you may have under applicable law.
Exclusions and return conditions
Returns may be refused or reduced where permitted by law if:
- the product has been misused, abused, neglected, or damaged by the customer;
- the product has been physically altered, opened, repaired, or modified without authorisation;
- the product is missing accessories, serial numbers, manuals, packaging, or parts;
- the product is not the same item supplied by TechWave247;
- the product was damaged due to incorrect installation, power surge, liquid damage, or accidental damage;
- the product is returned in a condition that prevents resale, where the return is not due to a defect or legal right.
This clause does not limit rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Refund processing
Approved refunds will usually be processed using the original payment method where reasonably possible.
Refund timing may depend on payment gateway processing times, bank processing times, fraud checks, return inspection, supplier assessment, or courier return completion.
Delivery fees may be refundable or non-refundable depending on the reason for the return and applicable law.
Warranties
Products may include a manufacturer, supplier, importer, or distributor warranty where applicable.
Warranty periods and warranty procedures may differ by product, brand, manufacturer, and supplier.
Warranty claims may require:
- proof of purchase;
- serial number verification;
- inspection or testing;
- return of the product;
- manufacturer or supplier approval.
Warranty cover does not usually include:
- misuse;
- neglect;
- accidental damage;
- liquid damage;
- power surge damage;
- unauthorised repairs;
- software corruption caused by the customer;
- normal wear and tear;
- consumables, unless expressly covered;
- damage caused by incompatible accessories or incorrect installation.
Nothing in this warranty section limits your statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act or any other applicable law.
Quotes
Where we issue a quote, the quote is valid only for the period stated on the quote.
Quoted prices, stock, supplier availability, and delivery costs may change after the quote expiry date.
A quote does not reserve stock unless expressly stated in writing.
Promotions, discounts, coupon codes, special offers, and marketing campaigns
From time to time, TechWave247 may run promotions, discounts, coupon offers, voucher offers, bundle deals, free-delivery offers, clearance sales, limited-time campaigns, seasonal campaigns, social media promotions, newsletter promotions, or other marketing campaigns.
All promotions are subject to these Terms, any campaign-specific terms published with the promotion, applicable South African law, product availability, supplier availability, and successful payment verification.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, promotions:
- apply only for the advertised period;
- apply only while promotional stock is available;
- apply only to selected products, categories, brands, customers, channels, or order values;
- may be limited to one use per customer, account, household, email address, phone number, delivery address, or payment method;
- may not be combined with other coupons, discounts, vouchers, credits, special offers, bundles, price-match offers, or negotiated pricing;
- may not apply to delivery fees, back-orders, supplier-sourced items, clearance items, special-order products, quotes, already discounted products, or excluded products;
- cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred, resold, or redeemed after expiry;
- may require a valid coupon code to be entered correctly at checkout before payment.
TechWave247 may amend, suspend, withdraw, limit, or cancel any promotion, discount, coupon, special offer, or marketing campaign at any time where reasonably necessary, including where there is a pricing error, stock error, supplier error, technical error, website error, payment error, fraud risk, abuse, misuse, unlawful activity, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
If a promotion is changed, suspended, withdrawn, or cancelled, the change will apply from the time it is published or implemented. This does not automatically affect orders that were already finally accepted and processed before the change, unless there was an obvious or material error, suspected fraud, unlawful conduct, payment failure, stock issue, supplier issue, or another lawful reason to cancel or amend the order.
Promotional pricing shown on the website, in emails, on social media, in advertisements, or in other marketing material may change without notice before an order is placed. The price charged for an order will usually be the price shown at checkout when the order is placed, subject to stock availability, successful payment, order acceptance, and correction of obvious or material errors.
If a product, discount, coupon, delivery offer, or promotional price was displayed incorrectly due to a technical error, human error, supplier feed error, import error, system error, caching error, or other obvious or material error, TechWave247 may correct the error, cancel the affected order, reverse the promotional benefit, or refund the amount paid where permitted by law.
Promotions are not a guarantee of stock. Where a promotion is advertised as limited by stock, quantity, time, customer group, region, channel, or any other condition, the promotion will only apply within those stated limits.
TechWave247 may refuse, cancel, reverse, or recover the value of a promotion, coupon, discount, or special offer where we reasonably believe that there has been:
- fraud;
- attempted fraud;
- coupon abuse;
- multiple-account abuse;
- automated or bot use;
- resale abuse;
- use of false customer information;
- payment abuse or chargeback abuse;
- unauthorised use of another person’s account or payment method;
- breach of these Terms;
- breach of the promotion-specific terms;
- use of a coupon or promotion in a way that was not intended.
Where a promotion is attached to a quote, the promotional price or discount is valid only for the period stated on the quote and does not reserve stock unless expressly stated in writing.
Where a promotion involves a free item, gift, bundled item, add-on, or discounted accessory, that item is subject to availability and may be substituted, withdrawn, or refunded where stock is unavailable, where there is a supplier issue, or where the promotion contained an error.
If a customer returns, cancels, reverses, or obtains a refund for an order that qualified for a promotion, TechWave247 may reverse the promotion, deduct the value of the coupon, discount, free item, gift, or promotional benefit from the refund, or require the return of the promotional item, where permitted by law.
Promotions may be advertised through the website, email, WhatsApp, SMS, social media, search advertising, third-party platforms, printed material, or other marketing channels. If there is a conflict between a general advertisement and the detailed campaign-specific terms, the detailed campaign-specific terms will apply, provided that this does not remove any rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Promotional competitions, giveaways, prize draws, and similar campaigns may be subject to separate competition rules. Where required, those rules will set out the entry requirements, eligibility, prize details, closing date, winner selection process, winner announcement method, and any other legally required information.
Nothing in this section limits any consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act, the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, or any other applicable South African law.
